Embodied Groove before Left-Handed Monkey Wrench Gang
Having thoroughly explored the Quartet approach on 1/23 The Left Hand Monkey Wrench Gang will now manifest in the form in which the Grateful Dead performed the bulk of their shows: two guitars, two drummers, keys and bass.
I could not be more honored to make music with these humans, this month’s gang is: Celso Alberti (Steve Winwood, Airto, Brightshine) Scott Guberman (Phil Lesh, Live Dead ’69, The Gilmour Project) Jeremy Hoenig (JGB, Phil Lesh, Echo Street) Murph Murphy (Stu Allen, Brightshine, Poor Man’s Whiskey) Matt Lazarus (Stu Allen, Dredgetown, The Joint Chiefs) Pete Sawyer (Brightshine, Seconds On End, Echo Street).
We also have a special addition to this months Grateful Sunday. Just before we take the stage, Leah Taylor will be leading Embodied Groove, An Interactive Movement Experience for all who would like to participate. I had the honor of having Leah lead an Embodied Groove experience before a LHMWG Ashkenaz show and it was awesome!
To Celebrate Mardi Gras we will have a backdrop from a past Grateful Dead Mardi Gras show as well as other surprises! See you there!!!
